Nikki & Rusty |
The puppies from this litter are excellent hunters. They are balanced in both hunting visually and through scent. The boys will finish around 60 lbs and the girls will finish out around 45-50 lbs. This breeding is out of half American and half German Bloodlines. These dogs are very versatile and will love to hunt, but also be content hanging out with the family. These dogs do better when they are with their family more than they are alone.
The natural instinct in this litter is superior and these dogs will hunt all day if you let them. Their bodies are sound and balanced. The dogs from this litter will be liver roan, white & liver, or solid liver. |

June & Rusty |
June & Rusty make for an excellent pairing. June is all about birds, day in and day out, but when around the family she is sweet with the kids, kind with the other dogs, and very affectionate. Rusty might possibly be the most affectionate dog in our kennel. He is a pleaser and a lover who will work for you all day. When bred together, June and Rusty make a larger GSP with lots of leg and strong hunt drive.
These dogs are great for families who love the water (pools, lakes, & oceans) or want to hunt in water. These dogs do well in the company of another dog, but are also confident as a solo dog, especially if the lifestyle of the family incorporates them into their daily life. Dogs from this litter will be solid liver, liver roan, or white & liver, most will be heavily patched. The males will be 60-70 lbs. and the females will finish around 55-60lbs. |
"There never yet has been a dog who learned to double cross,
Nor catered to you when you won, then dropped you when you lost."
- Mary Hale
Reggie & Rusty |
Reggie and Rusty have turned out to be quite the pairing. The puppies from this litter are avid hunters, but slightly more people-oriented than Nikki's Litters, allowing these dogs to be trained a bit easier as they truly want to please their owners. These dogs are a bit larger than Nikki's litter, the boys will end up being about 60-65 lbs. and the girls will finish out around 45-50 lbs. This breeding is 50/50 American and German Bloodlines. Reggie comes from all American lines and Rusty comes from all German lines. This combination adds more muscling, longer ears, blockier heads, and larger bone structure to Buster's American Line (our foundation line). We really like what we see in this litter.
These dogs are perfect for active hunters who also want to have a great family dog. They are very affectionate, but are ready to go when the time comes. They will do best if they can spend majority of their time with their family, however, these dogs will adapt to alone times. Dogs from this litter will be solid liver, liver roan, or white & liver. |
"I sometimes look into the face of my dog Stan and see a wistful sadness and existential angst,
when all he is actually doing is slowly scanning the ceiling for flies.”
– Merrill Markoe (author, Nose Down, Eyes Up )
Dusty & Normandy |
Dusty and Normandy mark the third generation in our kennel. Normandy was selected specifically for Dusty. Dusty was the tiny spitfire in her litter, but very correct in structure. She is loving and affectionate like her father Rusty, and she is extremely birdy like her mama, Reggie. Normandy is a pleasure to work with, he is always in a loving mood and although he is very birdy, he prefers the company of humans when possible.
These dogs will be excellent family dogs, they will have wonderful temperaments for small children, and they will make you look good with the trainer. Dogs from this litter can be in any color combination accepted by AKC: solid, roan, or white, either in black or liver. We anticipate the males to be 60-65 lbs and the females to be 45-50 lbs. **Black GSPs are not allowed to show in AKC dog shows, but can be used in field trials and all other events. |
"Dogs love company. They place it first in their short list of needs." - J.R. Ackerley
Socks & Normandy |
Socks and Normandy made a very dynamic pairing. Both parents are very birdy and yet have wonderful temperaments for children of any age. This breeding is 75/25 American/German Bloodlines, the males will be around 60 lbs. and the females will be about 50 lbs.
This works wonderful for an individual looking for a companion to tag along all day or a family who has young children. Both Socks and Normandy have more normal metabolisms (not as high energy as the straight American Lines) and this makes them slightly easier keepers. The dogs from this litter will be either solid liver, solid black, white & liver, or black and white. |

– Nora Roberts
Vicky & Rusty |
Vicky is a full-blooded sister to Reggie, she is a little more affectionate and a little smaller. We anticipate seeing a lot of similarities between this litter and Reggie/Rusty litters. However, these dogs will be more a bit more codependent like Vicky, and might not require to be the center of attention like many of the Reggie/Rusty dogs.
Dogs from this litter will be solid liver, liver roan, or white & liver. We anticipate the males to be 60-65 lbs and the females to be 45-50 lbs. |
